On Saturday, 19 September 2026, members, families, engineers, volunteers and community leaders gathered at ANMC in Diggers Rest for the SNEVic Annual General Meeting 2026. It was an opportunity to reflect on the past two years, recognise the people behind our progress, elect the next Executive Committee and reflect on the future of our professional community.
The theme of my President's address was:
Building on Our Journey. Shaping Our Future - Building a stronger engineering community together.
For me, the AGM was more than a formal meeting. It was a moment of accountability, gratitude and handover—and a reminder that SNEVic’s progress belongs to everyone who has contributed to its journey.
At the June 2024 AGM, members asked the incoming Executive Committee to focus on four important areas: support career progression across all career stages; expand and engage the SNEVic community; build stronger links with professional organisations in Australia and Nepal; and establish the governance and systems required for a durable organisation.
We translated that mandate into the SNEVic 2024–2026 Five-Pillar Strategy.

Our term was guided by our 2024–2026 Strategy, we have focused on strengthening SNEVic's foundations while delivering meaningful programs that support engineers at every stage of their professional journey.

This gave us a disciplined way to decide where volunteer effort could create the greatest impact. Rather than treating each event as a separate activity, we sought to connect programs to a longer-term purpose: helping engineers enter the profession, advance their careers, build relationships and become more visible within Australia’s engineering landscape.
During this period, we focused on strengthening both our organisation and our community.

10.Community enagement and growth : Social Media outreach :Linkedin , Whats Apps, You Tube channel.
These initiatives have improved governance, increased visibility, and created stronger foundations for future growth.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the dedication of our Executive Committee, volunteers, sponsors, industry partners, community leaders, and members.
Thank you for your trust, support, and commitment to SNEVic. Together, we have built strong foundations for the future and created lasting impact within our community.
As we continue this journey, I encourage every member to stay engaged, support one another, seek opportunities to grow, and contribute to the future of our profession.
The foundation is stronger. The network is bigger. The partnerships are growing. Now the opportunity is to turn that foundation into lasting professional impact.
At AGM 2026, members elected the new Executive Committee for 2026–2028 under the leadership of Prakash Aryal. The team brings familiar faces into new roles alongside new excellent contributors—providing both continuity and fresh energy for SNEVic’s next chapter.
I congratulate Prakash and the entire new Executive Committee. Leading SNEVic is both a privilege and a responsibility. I wish them every success as they build on the foundations created by many SNEVic volunteers.
The future of Nepali engineers in Australia is bright—and together, we will continue building it.
