It is truly heartbreaking to witness the devastating flash floods and landslides that have impacted northern part of Nepal, particularly in the Rasuwa , Bhotekoshi, Trishuli , Nuwakote and surrounding regions. This tragedy has caused immense loss, hardship, and disruption for many families and communities.
On behalf of the Society of Nepali Engineers in Victoria (SNEVic), I extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this disaster. We stand in solidarity with those who have lost loved ones, been displaced from their homes, or are facing the difficult journey of recovery and rebuilding.
We also express our sincere gratitude to the emergency responders, volunteers, government agencies, and local communities who are working tirelessly to support rescue, relief, and recovery efforts during this challenging time.
In moments like these, the strength of community becomes more important than ever. I encourage our SNEVic members , the broader Nepali diaspora and international community to support ongoing relief efforts, look after one another, and contribute in any way possible to help affected communities recover and rebuild.
Even the smallest act of support can make a meaningful difference. The relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts ahead will require the collective support and generosity of many. We encourage everyone who is able to contribute towards these efforts and stand with the affected communities during this difficult time.
